During Zafra [Harvest] 2023/24, Guatemalan mills achieved a total production of launa producción of 2,620,692 metric tons of sugar.
About production
About 40% remains in the country for domestic consumption and is fortified with vitamin A to fight childhood blindness and with iron to prevent anemia, thus contributing to health and food security of Guatemalan children.
